πStop being a control freak! π
That’s what I had to tell myself constantly in order to get to the other side of leadership.
I had to tell myself this constantly. I made it a habit to let go of control of everything in my life.
My work, tasks, circumstances and even things in my personal life.
Over time, this started to become a habit and I realized that I actually got MORE done by LETTING GO.
I had let my mindset of “I have to be in control” become the controlling factor of my life.
This limited my growth immensely. π
Once I learned to start actually trusting and letting go, I saw a shift in growth in my work and life. π
Letting go has led to more freedom in my life to focus on what I do best and what I enjoy most in my work.
There are amazing and capable people (like a life-changing virtual assistant) who are more than willing and excited to help take on all the stuff you hate doing. π
And guess what? They can probably do it better than you. I know our VAs definitely can take care of the details better than me.
For example, I can assign one of our VAs a project, and they’ll immediately dive in and 9/10 times come back to me with things I hadn’t considered related to that project. Things I might have eventually thought of, but not until I was further down the road.
On top of taking care of the project, and me being freed up to focus on other important initiatives, they’ve already added immense and immediate value proactively bringing fresh perspective and ideas for me to consider them adding to the final output.
That’s a win all around. π
What are you hanging onto? What’s keeping you from getting to the other side?
